According to information shared by Lookonchain, an on-chain data platform, a giant whale first withdrew $3.24 million worth of USD Coin (USDC) from the popular cryptocurrency exchange Kraken to its new wallet that it created five days ago. It then used these funds to purchase two meme coins.
The transactions carried out by the whale managed to attract attention in the short term for these two meme coins.
Among the meme coins purchased by the whale are Launchcoin and Fartcoin. The whale purchased a total of 5.35 million Launchcoins worth approximately $1.33 million and 1.39 million Fartcoins worth $1.86 million. Following the purchases, it is being commented in the market that whales are particularly turning to meme coins, which are considered risky assets.
