#EthereumSecurityInitiative Justin Drake (Ethereum researcher): a 51% attack on Bitcoin is simpler and less costly (~$10 billion) than on ETH

PoS Ethereum requires about $44.8 billion for 51% of the stake; the 'social layer' adds unique protection, says Drake

Grant Hammer notes that the decrease in Bitcoin's 'security budget' poses a risk; experts express mixed opinions

Ethereum community researcher Justin Drake suggests that conducting a 51% attack on the Bitcoin network is much easier and less expensive than attempting a similar attack on Ethereum. Drake explains that while a 51% attack on Bitcoin would be very costly, estimated at around $10 billion, it is still feasible. In contrast, he claims that Ethereum would be much more complicated and expensive due to its Proof-of-Stake (PoS) security.
