When can the platform easily liquidate large positions?
On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, because during these days the order book is weak and there are no large orders, so the platform can manipulate the price up and down based on the targeted open positions.
On other days, it is difficult for the platform to liquidate positions easily because the order book is strong at that time and there are many orders, so the platform waits for the days when the order book is weak and the movement is slow.
What about the whales? Will they let the platform liquidate them easily? Of course not, whales usually have large spot amounts. For example, a whale with 1000 Bitcoin goes and opens a short position and either sells at market to drive the price down so that his short trade profits and the price moves away from his liquidation area, or he places sell orders for his quantities before the liquidation point of his short trade so that if the platform wants to rise, it must pump liquidity to absorb all the pending sell orders.
The matter is somewhat complicated, but the summary is that we are trading against the titans, whether they are platforms, whales, or investment firms, who manipulate the market as they wish and whenever they want.
