How to choose promising altcoins?
1. Buy strong, not weak
2. Buy new, not old
The first standard is to look at the exchange rate of a certain token compared to Bitcoin or Ethereum (horizontal comparison); the second is within a specific sector, buy the leader, not the runner-up (vertical comparison). Especially for the second point, don’t hesitate to buy the leader just because it has risen sharply, turning to choose the trailing second or third; the second and third will definitely catch up, but it will only be a catch-up.
The so-called 'buy new, not old' is relatively easy to understand. First, because old coins often have trapped positions due to historical reasons, which can be a powerful resistance during the price rise. Just look at the performance of LTC, BCH, and BSV in the last bull market to know this. Therefore, when funds choose to pump a target, they definitely won't select these heavy, outdated coins as their first choice. Do they really want the main players to spend money lifting the retail investors? The strong representative altcoins are SUI and SOL, both of which I have been recommending. SUI has been strong throughout, and even though SOL has weakened a lot after its performance in the first half of the year, it is still much stronger than most altcoins.
According to the new and old standards, whether it’s NEIRO or PNUT, as long as there is heat, funds will pour in, and there will be opportunities for retail investors. Besides MEME, there are certainly some well-told projects worth paying attention to. For example, MOODENG, a tenfold increase in half a month is not a dream. In addition, even though DOGS and NOT are not performing well at the moment, the expectations for a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine have strengthened significantly since Trump took office. Once the major parties resume talks, it will undoubtedly be a significant boon for the entire ton ecosystem.
