Espresso is a global confirmation layer that provides fast and reliable transaction confirmations supported by BFT consensus for L2 chains. Espresso’s confirmation layer prevents ambiguity in sequencers, prevents reorganization, and reduces finality risk of solvers in intention-based systems. Its versatility means that the chain can also use it as a decentralized sequencer and a low-cost data availability layer.
