According to Foresight News, the Ethereum Foundation announced the launch of the "Trillion Dollar Security Initiative" aimed at enhancing the security of the Ethereum protocol by funding research, development, and auditing. The project will initially be led by both Frederick Svants, Head of Protocol Security, and Josh Stark from the EF management team.

The initiative will support security improvements for key clients, formal verification, security vulnerability testing, bug discovery reward programs, and security education for the community. The foundation emphasized the importance of ensuring the robustness of the protocol and its resistance to attacks as the ecosystem continues to expand.
