#BinancePizza American Laszlo Hanyecz, a programmer from Florida, bought two Papa John's pizzas for 10,000 BTC. He posted on the Bitcointalk forum and offered bitcoins to anyone who would order him a pizza. One user agreed and fulfilled the order.

This was the first real transaction using bitcoin, demonstrating that cryptocurrency could be used as a means of exchange.

10,000 BTC at the time of purchase was worth about $41. Now it is worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
