The segment of meme coins gained momentum on Wednesday, riding on the overall market rebound.
What happened
Fartcoin, based on Solana (CRYPTO:SOL), led the rise with an increase of over 11% in the last 24 hours.
The trading volume of Fartcoin surged by 87% in the last day, indicating strong demand for this peculiarly named cryptocurrency.
Floki, based on Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH), rose by more than 8%, recovering the losses recorded since the beginning of the week. Similarly, Pepe, frog-themed, gained nearly 6% in the last 24 hours.
Bonk, also based on Solana, operated upward, generating approximately 5% profit for its investors.
The total market capitalization of meme coins grew by 1.65% in the last 24 hours, reaching $92.29 billion, with a volume increase of 3.94%.
