From April to June 2025, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will hold a cryptocurrency roundtable addressing core issues such as cryptocurrency trading, asset custody, asset tokenization, the integration of traditional finance, and decentralized finance. The SEC is moving away from an 'enforcement regulatory' model to establish a new regulatory framework, clarifying issuance rules, expanding custodial autonomy, and opening up the trading ecosystem, aiming to balance innovation and regulation.
