Worldcoin has expanded its operations in the United States, offering identity verification through the World ID system in six cities: Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, and San Francisco.
The verification is carried out through the Orb device, which scans the iris to generate a unique digital identifier. Users who complete this process receive WLD tokens as a reward. Additionally, the company plans to distribute 7,500 Orbs across the country by the end of the year.
Worldcoin also announced partnerships with companies such as Visa, Razer, and Match Group (owner of Tinder), aiming to integrate the World ID into payment, gaming, and social media platforms. The expansion in the U.S. has been facilitated by a more favorable regulatory environment.
