Is your coin still there? Actually, it's that the balance of imtoken version 1.5 hasn't been updated.
There was a client who, a few months ago, needed to recover over 400 ETH from their imtoken wallet through a friend's introduction. In the past few days, I prepared the contract in advance and planned to meet to sign it. The contract needed an address, so I asked the client for it. When I received the address, I noticed there used to be a lot of coins, but they were all transferred away in 2018, and the current balance is 0.
The client provided a screenshot of the wallet on their phone, and it was immediately clear that it was imtoken version 1.5. Due to the low version, it is no longer maintained, and therefore the balance will not be updated. The client should have upgraded their imtoken to version 2.0 long ago, as they transferred their ETH in 2018.
However, over time, they forgot and saw that there was still ETH in version 1.5, thinking the coins were still there, and wanted to recover the wallet. The reason I can tell just by looking at the APP interface that it's version 1.5 is that I made the same mistake before; I saw the coins in version 1.5 and only confirmed they were gone by checking the ETH explorer.
So this is why every time I receive a client's inquiry, I need to ask for the address to confirm the amount and eliminate some misunderstandings.
