The cryptocurrency market is recovering against the backdrop of geopolitical news
The rise of the cryptocurrency market is accompanied by important events on the international stage. President Donald Trump announced a key trade agreement with the United Kingdom, signaling a possible easing of global trade tensions and increasing investor interest in risk assets.
Optimism was further bolstered by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's trip to Switzerland, where he held talks with representatives of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. During a conversation with journalists, Bessent stated:
"Existing tariffs and trade barriers are unacceptable, however, we do not seek to sever economic ties."
The sharp recovery of BTC has caused significant losses for bearish traders: according to CoinGlass, over the last 24 hours, short positions worth more than $118 million have been liquidated.
