Lightspark announced a new partnership with Revolut to enhance payment infrastructure using the Bitcoin network in the UK and some European countries. This collaboration aims to eliminate delays and high network fees associated with traditional payment systems, providing seamless transactions supported by advanced open technologies. Revolut will connect to the open Money Grid, joining other fintech companies and wallets offering payment solutions, including Lightning transactions and Universal Money Address (UMA). Emil Urmanshin, the general manager for cryptocurrencies at Revolut, emphasized that this integration aligns with the company's commitment to providing faster and more accessible financial solutions. David Marcus, CEO and co-founder of Lightspark, highlighted the significance of this partnership in modernizing financial transactions, positioning Revolut as a leader in the shift towards real-time, low-cost, and borderless payments.
