Trump Admits He Didn't Profit from Memecoin, What’s the Fact?**

President of the United States (US) Donald Trump denied profiting from his memecoin, TRUMP. He also stated that he doesn't know much about the crypto and has only heard that his coin is selling well.

"I don't take profits from anything. I haven't even seen it (the profits from the TRUMP meme coin), where is it now?" said the number one person in the US on Sunday (04/05) in an NBC television interview.

This statement came after the leader of Uncle Sam's country received a lot of criticism from officials in the US. He also implied that he does not pay attention to the profits and market valuation generated by the crypto since its launch.

"If I have shares in a company, and I do a good job, and the stock market goes up, I think I profit," Trump said.

A reporter on the Meet the Press show revealed that Trump has made a lot of money, namely several billion dollars in recent days.

"Several billion? That’s very small for these people," Trump said while pointing to a group of tech billionaires at an event at the White House.

For information, the US President launched the memecoin earlier this year, on Friday (17/01), and managed to reach a price of US$73.43 one day before his inauguration on January 20, 2025.

The Financial Times reported that the memecoin project has generated at least US$350 million so far, US$314 million from sales and US$36 million from token fees. In fact, TRUMP surged by 74% after the number one person in the US invited his token holders to dinner.

As a result of that event, investors flocked to acquire the memecoin with a transaction volume reaching US$2.8 billion. #binancesquarenews
