CZ Predicts Bitcoin Could Reach $500K to $1M Amid Institutional Momentum
Changpeng Zhao (CZ), co-founder of Binance, has forecasted that Bitcoin could surge to between $500,000 and $1 million, citing rising institutional interest and the growing impact of spot $BTC ETFs. Speaking on the Rug Radio YouTube channel on May 5, CZ emphasized the role of traditional finance in fueling crypto’s next wave.
He noted that the majority of trading volume in the U.S. is institutional, and the introduction of Bitcoin-based ETFs has significantly increased capital inflows into the market. “Bitcoin’s price is rising largely because ETFs are pulling institutional money into crypto,” CZ stated.
He also referenced El Salvador’s continued Bitcoin accumulation and its historic move to adopt BTC as legal tender, framing it as an early model of sovereign-level adoption. Additionally, CZ suggested that ongoing shifts in U.S. crypto policy could further boost Bitcoin’s price trajectory.
