Trading on the spot: how I lost $1,000 in 3 days ❌
Yes, I went through this too. The first $1,000 was my "entry ticket" into crypto. More precisely — an entry into the reality of trading without knowledge and strategy 🤦♂️
Here’s how it all went:
1. Saw a coin that grew 200% in a day — and bought at the highs 🚀
2. Bought everything at once because “just a little more — and it will fly even higher!”
3. The next day — -40%, another day — -60%
4. Sold because “I don’t want to lose even more”
5. The coin turned around in a week — and went up without me
6. Emotions: -$1000 and -motivation 🧠💥
My mistake:
I bought not an asset — I bought the fear of missing out (FOMO) 😱
I didn’t have a plan. I didn’t know where I would exit, where I would place a stop. It wasn’t trading — it was a game in a casino.
