Recent research suggests that Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin, may hold over 1.096 million $BTC , valued at around 108 billion dollars. This would make Nakamoto richer than Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, whose net worth is approximately 106 billion dollars.

The analysis, conducted by Arkham Intelligence and shared by Coinbase director Conor Grogan, identifies multiple wallets that may be linked to Nakamoto. These holdings, if accurately attributed, would place Nakamoto among the richest individuals in the world.

Additionally, Grogan suggests that Kraken, a cryptocurrency exchange, may have information about Nakamoto's identity due to Nakamoto's last known transactions with a centralized exchange occurring through CaVirtEx, a Canadian exchange acquired by Kraken in 2016. However, it is unclear whether CaVirtEx retained Know Your Customer (KYC) data at that time.
