#AppleCryptoUpdate Apple eases rules for cryptocurrency-related apps, which is "extremely optimistic" for the crypto industry. According to one crypto commentator, the court's decision is "absolutely significant for cryptocurrency," as iOS apps will no longer be subject to hefty commissions for in-app purchases. Cryptocurrency app developers can now freely redirect users to payments outside of Apple's ecosystem without restrictions or high fees after a U.S. district judge ruled that Apple violated an order in its antitrust lawsuit against Epic Games.

"The court finds that Apple intentionally violated this court's 2021 ruling, which was issued to limit and prohibit anti-competitive behavior and anti-competitive pricing by Apple. Further attempts by Apple to interfere with competition will not be allowed," said U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers in the lawsuit dated April 30.
