#AltcoinETFsPostponed The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has recently postponed decisions on several proposed altcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), extending the review period for these financial products. Notably, the Franklin Templeton spot XRP ETF’s decision has been delayed until June 17, 2025, while Bitwise’s Dogecoin ETF awaits a decision by June 15, 2025. Additionally, Grayscale’s Solana ETF faces a final deadline around October 11, 2025 .
These delays are part of the SEC’s standard procedure, allowing the agency additional time to thoroughly evaluate each application. Analysts, including Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas, suggest that such postponements are expected and do not necessarily indicate a likelihood of rejection .
The SEC is currently reviewing over 70 crypto ETF proposals, reflecting a growing interest in cryptocurrency-based financial products. While the agency has previously approved ETFs for Bitcoin and Ethereum, altcoin ETFs like those for XRP, Dogecoin, and Solana are still under consideration
