The future of stablecoins is not just about the USD

Reeve Collins, co-founder of Tether, shared that while the USD currently dominates the stablecoin market and the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), the game will soon expand to many other types of assets:

- Gold, money market funds, or commodities: assets that typically yield higher returns than short-term US Treasury bonds could very well become the basis for new types of stablecoins.

- RWA will open up many options for stablecoin collateral, going beyond the limits of fiat currencies like the USD.

He also emphasized that the WLFI project backed by the Trump family launching the USD1 stablecoin on BNB and Ethereum will pave the way for global organizations, governments, and fintech companies to engage more deeply with stablecoins.
