⚡Blood and Tears Warning! The Hong Kong Million Dollar Currency Exchange Tragedy, Shocking Behind-the-Scenes!

On April 17, in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong, a Mr. Luo brought 1 million Hong Kong dollars in cash to exchange for USDT, only to be scammed and robbed of his cash. After reporting to the police, the other party openly shouted, "Not afraid of the police," and the scene got out of control.

In fact, such scams have been frequently occurring in Hong Kong. Over 200 unlicensed virtual currency exchange shops, masquerading with high exchange rates and quick transactions, may be hiding money laundering and fraud behind the scenes. Due to delayed regulation, these black shops disguise themselves as ordinary stores and repeatedly commit crimes.

Key points to prevent scams:

Legitimate platforms will conduct identity verification and will never only accept cash;

If the exchange rate is more than 3% higher than the market, it is very likely a trap;

During transactions, never allow the other party to remotely control your phone or download unfamiliar apps.

If you unfortunately fall victim to a scam, be sure to report it to the police immediately and properly preserve transaction evidence. The Hong Kong police have recently intensified their crackdown, with 503 people arrested in operations in April, involving an amount as high as 1.56 billion Hong Kong dollars.

In the future, the government will also implement an OTC licensing system, but until then, be sure to exercise caution in transactions!

Remember, high returns = high risks; protecting your hard-earned money is the most solid investment!
