#XRPETFs The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved the launch of three new futures ETFs on XRP from ProShares:

- Ultra XRP ETF (with 2x leverage);

- Short XRP ETF (–1x) and UltraShort XRP ETF (–2x) — inverse returns during price declines.

Trading will begin on April 30. These are the first such instruments on XRP, opening new opportunities for institutional and private investors.

Futures ETFs allow betting on the rise or fall of XRP's price without direct ownership of the token. Following the news, the price of XRP rose to $2.34 (+10% over the week), and trading volume increased by 132%.

At the same time, the SEC is reviewing applications for spot ETFs on XRP from Grayscale and VanEck. It is expected that the first decisions on them will be announced as early as May. Analysts believe that the launch of futures ETFs is just the first step, and spot products could become a catalyst for a significant influx of capital into XRP.
