#EUPrivacyCoinBan A new anti-money laundering regulation (AMLR) will come into force in the European Union on July 1, 2027, banning anonymous crypto accounts and private coins such as Monero, Zcash, and Dash. Credit institutions and crypto asset service providers (CASPs) will no longer be able to service anonymous accounts or process transactions with private coins. Mandatory identification of the sender and recipient will be required for transactions over 1,000 euros. An Anti-Money Laundering Agency (AMLA) will also be established, which will oversee the largest crypto services in the EU.
