A Kentucky coal miner rushed from work to watch a basketball game with his son. Now he's being rewarded with VIP tickets.
Meet Michael McGuire, a coal miner from Kentucky. After a long shift underground, still covered in coal dust, he rushed straight to a University of Kentucky men's basketball game to be with his young son. No time to shower, no time to change just pure dedication to making memories with his boy.
The moment was captured by a fan and went viral.
Coach John Calipari saw the photo and was so moved — he said it reminded him of his own father, who worked hard to give his family a better life. Coach Calipari later invited Michael and his family to a VIP experience at a future Kentucky game to thank him for showing what real devotion looks like.
🙏🙏Deeply respect your Hard work.
