#TrumpTaxCuts On Sunday, former President Donald Trump suggested that his broad tariffs could pave the way for reduced income taxes for Americans earning less than $200,000 a year, amid growing public concern over his economic policies.
Trump has previously claimed that revenue from tariffs could substitute for income taxes, though many economists have cast doubt on that idea.
“When Tariffs kick in, many people’s Income Taxes will be substantially reduced, maybe even completely eliminated," Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. "The focus will be on people making less than $200,000 a year."
