On March 27, 2025, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris ahead of the “Coalition of the Willing” summit. The discussions focused on strengthening international support for Ukraine amid ongoing Russian aggression.  

During the summit, President Macron announced a €2 billion military aid package to Ukraine, emphasizing France’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s defense capabilities. 

The summit also addressed the formation of a multinational “reassurance force” to provide credible security guarantees for Ukraine. This initiative, led by France and Britain, aims to bolster Ukraine’s security in the face of continued threats.  

President Zelensky expressed gratitude for the support and highlighted the importance of sustained international cooperation to ensure Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

These developments underscore the ongoing efforts by European leaders to coordinate a unified response to the crisis in Ukraine and to provide tangible support to counter Russian aggression.
