The U.S. SEC has officially approved the launch of three XRP futures-based ETFs by ProShares, set to debut on April 30, 2025.
The ETFs are:
Ultra XRP ETF – 2x leveraged exposure to XRP futures
Short XRP ETF – -1x inverse exposure to XRP futures
Ultra Short XRP ETF – -2x inverse exposure to XRP futures
These are futures ETFs, meaning they track XRP price through futures contracts, not by holding real XRP.
Meanwhile, no spot XRP ETF has been approved yet in the U.S., but Grayscale’s spot XRP ETF application is pending with a decision deadline on May 22, 2025.
Brazil has already launched the world’s first spot XRP ETF through Hashdex.
Currently, XRP is trading around $2.33, up 6.88% today.
