🏦 The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME Group) is set to launch futures on Ripple’s XRP token, tentatively on May 19, subject to regulatory approval. Traders will be able to choose between two types of contracts: 2,500 XRP and 50,000 XRP.
⏺️ These derivatives will be settled daily in cash based on the CME CF XRP-Dollar reference rate.
🗣️ “With continued technological advances in the digital asset space, market participants are increasingly interested in regulated hedging instruments covering a wider range of tokens,” said Giovanni Viccioso, head of crypto products at CME.
