#特朗普暂停新关税 US President Trump signed a latest executive order on Friday, temporarily allowing low-cost product packages from China to enter the United States tariff-free. This latest executive order temporarily overturned some provisions of his decision to impose tariffs on China made last Saturday (February 1). On February 1, local time, US President Trump signed an executive order imposing a 10% tariff on goods imported from China. At that time, this executive order also canceled the 'minimum threshold' tariff exemption for small packages from China valued under $800. This cancellation of the exemption took effect on Tuesday (February 4), meaning that hundreds of thousands of packages shipped from China to the US suddenly need to pay tariffs and provide more information. According to the new regulations, packages from China to the US must use formal customs clearance procedures, which require additional information and payment of tariffs before the package enters the country—this process is quite time-consuming. However, it is evident that US Customs subsequently encountered difficulties in enforcing taxes on mailed packages. According to the new executive order announced by the White House on Friday, the current 'minimum threshold' tariff exemption for goods from China will continue until the Department of Commerce 'establishes a sufficient system to comprehensively and swiftly process and collect tariff revenue.'
