Recently, SlowMist, Amber Group, and RigSec were invited to conduct a special training on smart contract analysis and cryptocurrency tracking for the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) of the Hong Kong Police Force.

This training not only reflects the Hong Kong Police's open mindset and forward-looking layout in facing emerging technologies but also showcases their solid efforts and proactive actions in combating crimes related to virtual assets and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the public. The Hong Kong Police Force is laying the groundwork for creating a safer virtual asset environment through continuous deepening of professional skills and actively introducing external practical experience.

As cryptocurrency and blockchain technology continue to develop globally, the financial innovations and efficiency improvements they bring have attracted significant attention. However, there are also increasingly complex security risks associated, ranging from fund theft and money laundering to various new types of cybercrime. The governance of these risks faces numerous challenges, such as the information gap between on-chain and off-chain, the prevalence of anonymous transactions, and the difficulties of cross-border law enforcement, all of which place higher demands on regulation and law enforcement.

Against this backdrop, SlowMist's training for the Hong Kong Police focused on risk identification and analysis in smart contracts, cryptocurrency tracking path analysis, on-chain data processing, and various other dimensions. During the training, police members actively participated in discussions and exchanges. This in-depth interaction not only demonstrated their keen insight and action in the face of cybercrime but also reflected Hong Kong's professional investment in the governance of virtual asset security, providing a positive example for promoting regional cooperation.

After the training, SlowMist's Chief Information Security Officer 23pds accepted a certificate of appreciation from the Hong Kong Police Force on behalf of the company and awarded completion certificates to the participating officers, further deepening the exchange and cooperation between both parties in the field of blockchain security.

As one of the leading organizations for this training, SlowMist has always been at the forefront of security offensive and defensive practices. The company actively participates in the promotion of blockchain security industry standards, national standards, and international standards. Its research results have been cited by several international organizations and government departments, including the United Nations Security Council and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. SlowMist has accumulated rich experience in areas such as security auditing, threat intelligence, anti-money laundering tracking, and on-chain risk control. SlowMist is also continuously outputting this experience through productization, developing the SlowMist AML solution (https://aml.slowmist.com), dedicated to providing cryptocurrency anti-money laundering analysis and investigation capabilities for the Web3 industry, regulatory and law enforcement agencies, and financial institutions. Meanwhile, MistEye (https://misteye.io/) aims to provide users with comprehensive Web3 threat intelligence and dynamic security monitoring services, enhancing the ecosystem's early warning and response capabilities.

SlowMist firmly believes that the world of blockchain is not a 'no man's land' but an ecosystem that requires the joint guardianship of all parties. We hope to condense practical experience into knowledge through every training and collaboration and further transform it into capability, empowering more institutions to master the necessary security protection and tracking skills, thereby strengthening the ecosystem's immunity. We believe that only through collaborative efforts, information sharing, and joint capability building can we truly enhance users' sense of security in the on-chain world. This training for the Hong Kong Police is also a concrete manifestation of SlowMist's mission to 'bring a sense of security to the blockchain ecosystem.' We look forward to partnering with more stakeholders to build a more robust, transparent, and trustworthy blockchain ecosystem.

Finally, we would like to once again thank the Hong Kong Police for their invitation and trust!
