As the demand for Web3 social rapidly increases, Mask Network announces a significant strategic adjustment, splitting the three core projects in its native ecosystem for independent operation.
This move not only accelerates the implementation of decentralized social protocols but also strengthens the construction of digital identity and data sovereignty.

What is Mask Network?
Mask Network is a protocol that bridges Web2 and Web3, allowing users to directly perform Web3 functionalities such as encrypted messaging, NFT displays, and token tipping on traditional social platforms (like X / Twitter).
2019: Mask Network began expanding to provide Twitter users with secure, decentralized community messaging, payment networks, file storage, and support for sharing on current mainstream social media networks.
Mask strategically invests in decentralized social networks, infrastructure, and creative content through its venture capital division, Bonfire Union, with the aim of making Web3 more accessible to everyone.

Key Upgrades of Mask Network: The three major sub-projects will be independently split.
1. Firefly: A multi-chain social aggregation wallet (a multi-chain communication integrator that supports on-chain identity and social interactions, set to become the standard entry point for Web3 instant messaging).
2. Next.ID: Web3 Digital Identity Protocol (addresses identity integration and verification between Web2 and Web3, and additionally provides DID, reputation systems, and identity interoperability modules).
3. Web3.bio: User on-chain resume page (similar to a Web3 version of Linktree, supporting users in showcasing on-chain assets, achievements, and social connections).
Mask Network enhances decentralized governance models.
After the split, the three projects will be operated by independent teams, while still maintaining cooperation and governance ties with MaskDAO, ensuring the overall ecological protocol's openness and transparency through community collaboration.
The Impact of Mask Network on the Web3 Social Ecosystem
1. Diversified Identity Applications: Facilitating identity integration and verification in areas such as DeSoc, DAO, and RWA.
2. Accelerated Transition from Web2 to Web3: Creating a smooth migration entry for traditional social users.
3. More application scenarios and modular extensibility: Open APIs and open-source protocols for developers to create secondary solutions.
