📊 Bitcoin vs Market: Unquestionable Dominance?
Looking at the trends in cryptocurrency market capitalization from this chart, one thing becomes very clear: Bitcoin remains the king.
🔵 Total market capitalization (TOTAL) grew by 152%, strongly driven by the Bitcoin rally.
🔴 However, when we exclude Bitcoin from the equation (TOTAL2), its growth plummets to 80%.
🟣 Even if $ETH is also excluded (TOTAL3), it turns out other altcoins can still grow quite well — but still not as strong as the impact of the two big ones.
📌 Interesting fact: Even though many new projects are emerging, the institutional narrative still heavily leans towards Bitcoin. ETFs, hedge funds, and large companies are entering Bitcoin first, not altcoins.
📉 This explains why many altcoins have not yet "taken off" even though the market as a whole appears bullish.
🔮 My opinion? Until altcoins have strong catalysts of their own (whether through technological innovation, regulation, or narrative shift), $BTC will continue to dictate market rhythm.
