#ripple has repeatedly been rumored to serve as a bridge between #blockchain and
SWIFT, or even to be entering into a direct partnership with SWIFT. However, Eric van Miltenburg, Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Ripple, has now made it unmistakably clear that the platform was not designed for that purpose. Rather, it is an upgrade intended to replace SWIFT. But why doesn’t Ripple see a partnership with SWIFT as an option? And what does this mean for the future of global payments?
