The altcoin season is coming, is Ethereum about to take off?

Recently, the market has been interesting. After Bitcoin's rise, altcoins are starting to stir, and the phrase 'altcoin season' is circulating in the community again.

So the question arises—if altcoins are really going to take the stage, is Ethereum the one to take off first?

1. The Old Script: Bitcoin on Stage, Altcoins Debut

Looking back at past bull markets, the process has generally been the same:

Bitcoin surges first, attracting attention.

Bitcoin consolidates or oscillates, and then altcoins start to rotate.

As the second-largest, ETH often acts as a signal for the altcoin launch.

This stage resembles the historical 'eve of the altcoin season.'

After Bitcoin's rise, it has remained stagnant, but the funds haven't left; they are starting to flow into smaller coins.

What does this indicate? The market is looking for new stories to tell.

2. ETH: The Altcoin Engine or the Lagging Older Brother?

Some say ETH isn’t moving up and can’t compete with new blockchains. But don’t forget a few key points:

When altcoins are active, DeFi is hot; when DeFi is hot, ETH must be stable.

High L2 activity means that much of the heat ultimately returns to the ETH ecosystem.

ETH's spot ETF is still in the works, and once there’s any movement, the rally speed won’t be slower than BTC.

In other words, while ETH may be slow, it has never been absent from the core of the market.

3. What signals indicate that the altcoin season is really here?

Observe a few points:

Strengthening ETH/BTC exchange rate: If ETH/BTC steadily rises, it can basically confirm the altcoin season.

L2 activity: High engagement in Arbitrum and Optimism indicates that funds are starting to test the waters.

New narratives emerging: AI, RWA, SocialFi, and various themes taking turns; this isn’t a cold market, it’s a change of performers.

4. Should we go all in on ETH this time?

I’m not saying you should blindly go all in, but don’t miss the critical rhythm either.

ETH isn’t a ticket to instant wealth, but it is definitely the most stable card when the market turns.

It takes off, and many altcoins will dare to follow.

The current logic is: if ETH doesn’t rise, altcoins won’t fly far; once ETH moves, altcoins will dare to go wild.

It’s not a question of whether ETH should rise, but when it will lead the charge!
