Brandon Lutnick - the son of the U.S. Secretary of Commerce is leading a $3 billion Bitcoin investment project in collaboration with SoftBank, Tether, and Bitfinex.
The goal of this alliance is to learn from the success of MicroStrategy in investing in BTC. The project, initially named Cantor Equity Partners, raised $200 million in January and will use this money to establish a new company called 21 Capital.
21 Capital will receive $1.5 billion in Bitcoin from Tether, while SoftBank and Bitfinex will contribute $900 million and $600 million, respectively.
