The Strategy (by Saylor) has just purchased 6,556 BTC for US$$ 555.8 million — paying around US$$ 84.785 per coin!
With this, the company's total reaches 538,200 BTC, valued at over US$$ 47 billion. The purchase was financed by the sale of common and preferred shares.
Shortly after the announcement, the price of $BTC surpassed US$$ 88.000, showing the influence that Saylor still has in the market.
More than 13,000 institutions already have direct exposure to Strategy. The move is being seen as another step in the institutional consolidation of Bitcoin.
