Strategy Saylor buys bitcoins worth $555 million

Strategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) — the largest corporate holder of bitcoins in the world — acquired 6,556 coins for approximately $555.8 million, as shown in a filing on Monday.

This acquisition brings the total number of bitcoins held by Strategy to 538,200 coins and was financed through a stock issuance — a strategy that has funded a significant portion of the company's coin reserves.

Additional purchases by Strategy helped improve sentiment towards bitcoin, although the cryptocurrency was still recovering from declines from record highs reached earlier this year. Bitcoin also continued to trade down 5.6% since the beginning of 2025, as sentiment was undermined by uncertainty regarding Trump's policies.
