#SaylorBTCPurchase Michael Saylor’s Strategy Acquires 6,556 BTC for $555.8M, Expanding Holdings to 538,200 BTC

Michael Saylor’s firm, Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), has made a significant addition to its Bitcoin holdings, purchasing 6,556 BTC between April 14 and April 20, 2025. The acquisition, valued at approximately $555.8 million, was executed at an average price of $84,785 per Bitcoin. This transaction elevates Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings to 538,200 BTC, acquired at an average price of $67,766, amounting to a cumulative investment of $36.47 billion.  

The recent purchase was financed through proceeds from the company’s at-the-market (ATM) stock offerings, including the sale of 1.76 million shares of Class A common stock and over 91,000 shares of Series A preferred stock. 

Saylor has articulated a strategic vision to accumulate $42 billion in Bitcoin by the end of 2027, underscoring the company’s commitment to Bitcoin as a primary treasury reserve asset. 

As of April 20, 2025, Strategy’s Bitcoin investments have yielded a 12.1% return year-to-date, reflecting the firm’s bullish stance on the cryptocurrency’s long-term value proposition.
