Durov threatened to exit the EU market
Pavel Durov stated that Telegram will leave the EU market if the company is forced to implement backdoors and weaken encryption.
He called it a threat to basic human rights: "It is better to leave the market than undermine privacy." According to him, Telegram does not disclose correspondence even by court order — only IP addresses and phone numbers.
At the same time, there is a court case against him in France.
