🧠 What is BTC Halving that makes the whole market wait?
Have you ever heard of the term "BTC halving"?
I'm sure many of you – both newcomers and long-time players – still don't really understand what it is and why it can cause Bitcoin's price to change dramatically.
🔍 Imagine this:
A sheet of A4 paper, if you fold it in half, it will become thicker, right?
Folding it 7 more times will make its height shoot up to the sky, but the width – that is, the area – will keep getting smaller.
🧾 I compare height to the value of BTC, while the shrinking width represents scarcity.
🤔 The "periodic" halving of Bitcoin
Similarly, BTC Halving is the event that reduces the block reward for miners by half, occurring about once every 4 years.
Simply put: Bitcoin is becoming increasingly scarce – and anything scarce can increase in value!
📌 Specifically:
2009: 50 BTC per block
2012: 25 BTC
2016: 12.5 BTC
2020: 6.25 BTC
🔜 2024: 3.125 BTC
🚀 Why is Halving important?
✅ Reduced supply (the width of the paper shrinks) → Value can increase (the height of the paper increases)
✅ Creates a strong scarcity effect: When supply decreases while demand remains, the value of Bitcoin can increase significantly.
✅ History shows: After each halving, BTC usually enters a bullish price cycle (bull run).
