🔥Solana is once again discussing the "inflation" issue!
Galaxy has proposed a new plan called MESA, aiming to determine the future inflation rate of SOL through multiple rounds of voting, with the goal of gradually reducing it from 5% to 1.5%. It sounds more "market-oriented", but it's also causing headaches for many 🤯—stakers have to vote in every round, increasing the operational burden, and it may also be manipulated by large holders.
In contrast, the SIMD-228 proposal that was rejected last month was simple and direct: it aimed to cut inflation by 80% in one go, but it was opposed by many stakeholders.
🐋The good news is: whales are continuously increasing their holdings of SOL! If this trend continues, reaching 150 for SOL is not a fantasy.
📌Although inflation governance is chaotic, the market is the true barometer. How whales move is more important than voting.
