BEWARE OF FAKE BINANCE MESSAGES

Fake messages impersonating Binance are on the rise. So, how can you be sure itโ€™s really Binance messaging you? Hereโ€™s two simple rules thatโ€™ll keep you one step ahead.

1. Everything Stays on the Platform

All account-related issues are handled on the Binance app or official website. If you receive an SMS asking you to call a phone number or click into a suspicious link, itโ€™s a scam.ย Always cross-check any link or phone number using Binance Verify to ensure its authenticity.

2. Set Up Your Anti-Phishing Code

The red box shows a fake SMS from a scammer, while the green box shows a real message with an anti-phishing code from Binance.ย Always verify that the anti-phishing code is your unique code; scammers will often include fake ones to deceive you.

Anti-Phishing codes are unique 8-character codes that, once set up, will appear on every official Binance message you receive โ€” helping you verify their authenticity. Learn how to set up your anti-phishing code here โ†’

Remember, Binance will never ask you to:

  1. Import an unknown wallet;

  2. Install third-party software;

  3. Call a phone number;

  4. Grant access to private keys;

  5. Click on links from unofficial sources;

If you run into any of these red flags, ignore and report the message to our customer service team.
