#Metaplanet增持比特币 PANews April 14 news, according to an official announcement, Japanese listed company Metaplanet Inc. has increased its holdings by 319 bitcoins at a price of approximately $82,549 per bitcoin, with a total value of about $26.3 million. Its CEO Simon Gerovich stated that as of April 14, 2025, the company holds 4,525 bitcoins, which were acquired at an average price of about $85,366 each, with a total value of approximately $386.3 million.

The company aims to hold more than 10,000 bitcoins by the end of 2025, ultimately reaching 21,000 by 2026. To support this strategy, Metaplanet is actively raising capital through equity and debt financing, including issuing multiple batches of zero-coupon bonds and acquiring stock subscription rights for the EVO Fund.

The company has previously purchased bitcoins multiple times to hedge against yen depreciation and inflation risks. This move has drawn market attention and pushed bitcoin prices to rebound in the short term. Analysts point out that more companies may follow Metaplanet's lead and incorporate bitcoin into their balance sheets to diversify traditional asset risks. This trend could further drive the mainstreaming of cryptocurrencies, but regulation and volatility remain significant challenges.
