#加拿大推出SolanaETF Canada Rushes to Launch the World's First Solana Spot ETF: Can High-Yield Staking Ignite the Crypto Market?
On April 16, 2025, Canada officially launched the world's first Solana spot ETF, with four products issued by institutions such as Purpose Investments and Evolve ETFs, supporting staking functionality and offering an annual yield of 6%-8%. This makes it North America's first crypto financial product that combines 'price tracking + staking returns.' This move not only opens a custody-free, low-threshold investment channel for traditional investors in SOL, but also challenges Ethereum's staking position with high yields, attracting funds seeking passive income.
Despite being affected in the short term by the escalation of the US-China tariff war (such as the US restrictions on Nvidia chip exports), SOL fell 4.55% to $125.28 on its first day of trading. However, analysts point out that if ETF inflows are strong, SOL is expected to break through the key resistance level of $149.74 and consolidate support at $122. In contrast, the US SEC takes a conservative stance on the Solana ETF, only approving futures products and prohibiting staking, resulting in its assets under management being less than $14 million, far behind Canada's innovative pace.
