Why would it not continue to pump and let you easily short? Countless times because of resistance, it still hasn't learned.
Like this WCT, the listed price is currently around $40 million and now below $60 million; if the exchange doesn't pump, the project will still pump, and the sharks will still pump. In terms of market cap compared to new coins, it's quite small, so you need to think carefully when you want to short.
It's not just that once it lists, it will dump, and after dumping, you can just hold a short. Margin trading your entire account is risky.
