The Virtue of Surah Al-Ikhlas:

* Narrated by Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to his companions: "Is there any of you who cannot read a third of the Quran in a night?" This was difficult for them and they said: Which of us can do that, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "Allah, the One, the Eternal Refuge, is a third of the Quran."

* Narrated by Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that we were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) at Tabuk when the sun rose white with rays. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stood and said: "This sun has not risen since it was created except for Joshua ibn Nun when he marched to Jerusalem, for it was held back from him until he opened it. Then it drew near to the west as it does now. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Whoever wishes to look at Adam in his knowledge, Noah in his understanding, Abraham in his friendship, Moses in his speech, and Jesus in his spirit, let him read Surah 'Say, He is Allah, [Who is] One.'
