3. Projecting oneself onto others, mistakenly believing that most people can have self-control as easily as oneself.
4. Trying to help others with no self-control improve their self-control.
5. Realizing that most efforts to improve others' self-control are in vain (old habits die hard), and gradually accepting reality.
6. Acknowledging and respecting the reality that the vast majority of people in the world will always have weak self-control, knowing they will eventually face the consequences of a lack of self-control, but no longer wasting effort trying to intervene.
7. Continuing to focus on improving one's own self-control and doing one's own things better and better.
