The BNB Chain testnet has successfully completed the Lorentz hard fork upgrade, reducing block times to 1.5 seconds and significantly enhancing transaction speed and overall network efficiency. Currently, the block time stands at 0.5 seconds on the opBNB testnet and 1.5 seconds on the BSC testnet. Mainnet upgrades are scheduled for April 21 (opBNB) and April 29 (BSC). Looking ahead, a further upgrade — Maxwell—is planned for June 2025, aiming to reduce block time to just 0.75 seconds.
