Recently, MTT Sports interviewed poker player 'Goodfold'. So far, he has participated in 602 MTT Sports tournaments, made it to the money ring (ITM) 142 times, achieved an ITM rate of 23.59%, and an ROI (return on investment) of 76.36%. What is his attitude towards poker?

StarCraft? Looking back, I realize that it was actually the foundation of my poker career.
Initially, Goodfold was not a poker blogger, but a professional StarCraft player. At that time, he operated under the pseudonym 'ChRh' and was proclaimed 'the strongest of the random race', and his strength was widely recognized.
'I played as a professional player for about 8 years. My main race was Terran. Even though I didn't make a lot of money for the time I invested, that time was really valuable to me. In fact, this experience has also been very useful for my current poker game.'
When asked what made him switch from StarCraft to poker, he smiled and replied:
'It was probably in 2008. At that time, I saw how ElkY (a StarCraft player turned poker player) won almost 10 billion won in Texas Hold'em. I thought, maybe I should give it a try. At that time, my friend, professional player Guillaume Patry also told me: 'Your calm demeanor is quite suitable for poker.' And that’s how it all started.'
StarCraft and Texas Hold'em are surprisingly similar.
Goodfold believes that although StarCraft and poker seem like completely different games, they actually have a lot in common.
'Essentially, these are strategic games. You need to make the best decision with limited information. In StarCraft, there are variables such as the opponent's race, map characteristics, and build order (opening tactics), right? The same applies to poker. Starting hand, position, opponent's style... all of this needs to be considered together to make a decision.'
Furthermore, he emphasized:
'Poker really requires memory, calculation, and mental strength. The key is to minimize repeated mistakes and not give in to emotions.'

Favorite type of race: High Roller!
When asked what competitions he enjoys participating in the most, Goodfold didn't hesitate:
'High Roller. The blinds grow slower, so it’s more about your skills than luck. So for me, this is also the most profitable option.'
He also mentioned an important requirement for being a good poker player — 'financial sufficiency'. 'If you don’t have enough money in reserve, it will be hard to focus on the game. Sitting at the table while worrying about living expenses will definitely cause psychological issues. Without financial support, it’s risky to become a full-time player.'
About MTT Sports: you can train with bitcoins and earn bonuses!
Goodfold also gave a positive assessment of the MTT Sports platform, in which he is currently participating.
'I think the best part is the low threshold. Even if you don’t spend money, as long as you have the opportunity, you can earn bonuses in bitcoins.'
In fact, MTT Sports holds a regular tournament every week for 100 weeks, giving away 1 bitcoin as a prize pool each week. The champion will receive 0.4 BTC, which is equivalent to a prize of over $30,000.
Goodfold smiled and said:
'If I take first place in such a bitcoin tournament? I definitely won’t sell it. I’ll probably hold onto it for 10 years.'
There are still many opportunities in MTT; we invite you to participate!
As of April 2025, the MTT Sports Bitcoin tournament has entered its 26th week, and a total of 26 BTC has been released, meaning that the winner is still awaiting 74 BTC in prize money.
Goodfold added:
'MTT Sports is a rare platform that allows you to practice and earn money at the same time. If you want to get serious about poker, you should try it.'@The Investor of tomorrow
