Are you still confused right now? Whether the market is surging or plummeting, one-sided or fluctuating, do you always miss the opportunity? It’s the so-called 'buy and it drops, it drops and you cut, you cut and it rises, it rises and you chase, you chase and get trapped, get trapped and cut again.' This is like a death trap; your funds keep shrinking in this cycle. If you find yourself in such a cycle, please stop and think carefully, summarize your experiences and lessons, and prepare to start again.
Are you currently in such a state of loss?
1. Without a teacher's guidance, you look around groups for trades, relying on small timeframes, chasing back and forth, and incurring losses.
2. You have a strong opinion and never trust just one person. You look at various teachers' analyses and make your own decisions. When you get it right, you don’t enter the market due to lack of confidence. When you get it wrong, you dive in and end up losing, feeling extremely upset, as if the sky is falling.
3. With guidance from a teacher, you always trade heavily but often get it wrong.
4. When you get it right, you make a little money and get out. When you get it wrong, you either hold or lock in, and in the end, you always cut at the lowest point or get completely wiped out.
5. Trading in a fluctuating market is okay, but one day after heavily trading back and forth, you develop a fear of the market, thinking it’s always one-sided, and you dare not trade. But in reality, every day is fluctuating; suddenly one day you think it’s fluctuating, and it turns out to be one-sided.
6. In a one-sided market, you get it right but always miss the entry point. After finally getting a trade in, it first fluctuates, leading you to take a tiny profit and run. When you're frustrated, you try to catch a pullback and get trapped. Once trapped, you consolidate, always thinking at least you’ll pull back to break even or exit with a small loss, even though you know the trend has definitely reversed. Yet, you still get caught in the trap deeper and deeper, eventually cutting at the highest or lowest point.
Those who are profitable are all the same. Those who incur losses have their own differences, but generally, they fall into the categories mentioned above. You can pinpoint your place here; understanding the reasons for your losses can lead you to understand the path to profit, and at least your mindset will improve significantly!
If you are still reading articles after incurring losses, it proves one thing: you are unwilling to accept it! You are unwilling to let this market trap your funds. So if you click on my article, I want to say, it’s either you didn’t have a teacher, or the teacher was ineffective. What you need to do next is to chat with me; perhaps I can help you.
Don’t resent the market, and don’t blame yourself. In investing, we all aim for profit, and that is our purpose for investing; I understand. But if you incur losses, the reason is simple: you want to win in this market.
In this world, things often go against our wishes. A strong desire for profit can subtly change your mindset. When you trade, your subjective thoughts are too strong; you always want the market to move according to your wishes after you enter.
How is that possible? No one can control the market. Did you analyze rationally when you were trading?
